Maintaining Culture and Tradition

Greetings everyone,i will be talking about Culture and Tradition.Nowadays people are not holding onto their culture and they aren’t following traditions anymore,i highly believe that we must maintain culture and tradition…Why? Because they keep us connected to heritage, also culture creates pride in my family,and an opportunity to pass on something meaningful to children and inspire pride and self respect in future generation. I will specifically be targeting people who are from different ethnic backgrounds.

First of all, why should people maintain culture and tradition.When we speak about tradition we think of our family and why do they practice those little things during holidays or some part of the year. Also practicing tradition is part of a healthy family.However, culture is found in our blood and its easy to maintain, as you can follow your follow your family tree, and participate in traditions.In the text No Sugar, as shown through the family theme, the Munday & Millimura family made an effort to maintain a strong bond as family as displayed by all members “We never shifted out, we was booted out” shows that the family stayed together.In th real world, not many are following traditions and perserving culture.The new generation doesn’t realize that culture and tradition very important. Ask me Why? It’s because both contribute to a sense of comfort and belonging and they reinforce values such as faith,integrity and good education .

Second of all, what does culture and tradition mean to me?Culture and Tradition mean alot to me,especially when it comes to my background, as a lebanese person my family has a tradition where we all gather every sunday at our house and we have a bbq

Another tradition we have is when all the women in the family have to come to our house and make pomegranate molasses.

To some people this might sound unimportant but to me they’re really important.Nowadays you see many people practicing family traditions and deeply connected to them, also other people go and learn different traditions, this also shows people that tradition and culture are important

Last but not least many people have a different point of view on culture and tradition, people now think that culture and tradition is something that you can choose to follow or not follow, in fact you have no choice but to follow culture and tradition, especially the traditions that you’re used to. People who don’t follow culture and tradition will be left out of society.

People think that tradition and one’s culture isn’t important, but this thinking isn’t liked by many social groups because many people practice tradition and culture.

In conclusion, i want the people to stay practicing their culture and tradition ,and never let go of them, because later on if no one stays connected to them people will lose their values
